Hi, I’m Mackenzie. In 2016 I decided to create a website for my metalsmithing business. I began with the common approach of using simple website builders but felt that they didn't allow the creative freedom I desired. So I set out on a quest to conquer the task the hard way and began my journey with coding. After creating a few simple webpages with HTML/CSS I’d realized that I had accidentally stumbled upon a something I was quickly beginning to love. As the complexity of my projects grew, so did my passion for coding and my desire to learn more. Eventually I decided to turn my metalsmithing business into a hobby so I could pursue a career in web development. I currently work as a freelance web developer and continue to focus on expanding my knowledge of web development and design. When I’m not coding you can usually find me reading a book, playing music, or making tiny things out of metal.
